Pros and Cons Fact XIAOMI 12S Review

XIAOMI 12S released on July 2022 with 6.28 inches LCD screen using AMOLED screen type. It has 5G connection and alrady work with Android 12 operating system. It has good design body with triple cameras at rear side.

Some disadvantages possibilities of XIAOMI 12S :

  • This is high-end smartphone, but the cons of XIAOMI 12S is not water resistance. Please do not bring this phone into the water.
  • Disadvantages of XIAOMI 12S does not have external memory slot for MicroSD. If some users use slowly MicroSDXD, then the high-speed performance will be downgrade. Therefore we have to choose bigger version of internal storage because it does not have any external memory.
  • Cons of XIAOMI 12S battery is not removable. As high-end smartphone, it is normal to have thin 8.2 mm unibody design, therefore it does not have battery cover. We will get problems when the battery corrupt or end of life. We have to replace to Xiaomi authorized service center.
  • Drawback of XIAOMI 12S dost not have 3.5 mm headphone jack. We have to use Bluetooth or USB-C to 3.5 mm jack converter if we want to connect with external audio devices.

  • Advantages of XIAOMI 12S has big internal memory options with 128 GB or 256 GB or 512 GB. More bigger is better because this phone does not have external memory slot for MicroSD.
  • Pros of XIAOMI 12S has two RAM options with 8 GB or 12 GB. This RAM will use for support multitasking applications.
  • Pros of XIAOMI 12S screen use big screen 6.28 inches and Full HD resolutions. It has high refresh rate 120 Hz and Dolby Vision.
  • Strength of XIAOMI 12S have big battery capacity with 4500 mAh. This phone has fast charging 67W with Power Delivery 3.0.
  • Advantages of XIAOMI 12S has NFC for data transfer or wireless payment.
  • Goodness of XIAOMI 12S has InfraRed port for make it work as remote control.

 

Advantages or Disadvantages of XIAOMI 12S Camera?

This phone has special lens performance from Leica that has good experience for photography. We can find three lens camera at back side body with 50 megapixel for wide with OIS (Optical Images Stabilization), 13 megapixel for 123 degree ultrawide, 5 megapixel for macro. We can take photos and videos at any situations. The camera has OIS and gyro-EIS (electronic images stabilization) for reduce handshake blur, there fore we can get good video recording at moving situation. This camera has good white balance when shoot at outdoor or bright conditions and also has fast auto focus at wide or zooming moment.

However, there are several disadvantages that we have to know when using XIAOMI 12S camera such as not very good for shoot at low light situation, because we can see some noise and underexposure result. But we can try to optimized with flash light to give better brightness. We also can not expect too much for good result on low light photos and videos. However, we should not worry about noise as far as we can see the object photo or videos, because this camera still have good result if compare with other mid-end or low-end smartphone.

 

Is XIAOMI 12S worth to buy ?

XIAOMI 12S is high-end smartphone that use flagship processor Qualcomm SM8475 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The processor has many advantages for gaming, working and other premium experiences for do anything from out XIAOMI 12S. This processor work with smart AI Engine Qualcomm Hexagon processor and high speed 5G connection or WiFi 6 with Qualcomm FastConnecet 6900 system.

We can use 5G connections for fast broadband Internet access. The audio sound system is tune by Hadman Kardon when we connect XIAOMI 12S with external audio devices or proper headset, but we can not get any differences if listen audio from internal stereo speaker. Some users need to have 3.5 mm headphone jack, but this phone does not have it. Please prepare USB C to 3.5 mm jack converter or use Bluetooth to connect with headset or external audio.

The disadvantages that we do not like from XIAOMI 12S is using under display optical fingerprint sensor. This sensor is not work as fast as hardware sensor or ultrasonic. We suggest to stay away from using 3th party screen protection or tempered glass, because it will reduce the fingerprint accuracy. Please confidence enough to use default Corning Gorilla Glass Victus as daily screen protection.

There are three options of internal storage with 128 GB or 256 GB or 512 GB. If we have more budget, then at least we buy 256 GB with 12 GB RAM or 512 GB for the best performance, because this phone does not have external MicroSDXC for extend with MicroSDXC. This phone has big battery 4500 mAh for full day activity with fast charging 67W technology from Qualcomm. It has Power Delivery 3.0. There are four color that we can choose with Gray, White, Purple and Green. We recommended to buy XIAOMI 12S.
